‘Final Destination: Bloodlines’ debuts at number one at the US box office

Los Angeles (USA), (EFE) – The horror film “Final Destination: Bloodlines,” directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, debuted this weekend in U.S. theaters as the most-watched film, with $51 million at the box office.
The Warner Bros. film, written by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor and the sixth installment of the “Final Destination” franchise, took the top spot from the Marvel Universe’s “Thunderbolts,” which dropped to second place with a domestic gross of $16.5 million and a worldwide gross of $170.3 million since its release on May 2.
In third place, the vampire thriller “Sinners” earned $15.4 million in US theaters in its fifth weekend, for a total of $316 million worldwide so far, according to Box Office Mojo.
“A Minecraft Movie,” the film based on the video game of the same name, dropped to fourth place from last week and grossed another $5.9 million domestically, bringing the total to $928 million worldwide.
In fifth place is “The Accountant 2,” with just $5 million in the United States, although it has earned more than $90 million globally.
“Hurry Up Tomorrow” also hit US theaters this weekend, remaining in sixth place with a box office tally of just $3.3 million.
The psychological thriller directed by Trey Edward Shults and starring The Weeknd, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan did not have the expected start in American theaters.
