Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announce their engagement

Los Angeles (U.S.), (EFE).— American star Taylor Swift announced her engagement to football player Travis Kelce.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift wrote on Instagram, posting some photos of the couple posing and showing off her ring.

Among the images is one of the football player kneeling in front of Swift in a garden, as well as a close-up of the engagement ring.

Swift and Kelce have been together since 2023, after he attended one of her concerts and was left “hypnotized” and “captivated” by the singer, as they recounted on August 13 in the podcast New Heights, which the football player co-hosts with his brother Jason.

Although Kelce wanted to meet her that same day to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it, he couldn’t, because Swift did not accept visitors before or after her concerts. Shortly after, they got in touch.

The singer also revealed more details about their first meeting, confessing that she asked a “silly” question because she didn’t know anything about the rules of football.

Their engagement comes alongside the announcement of her upcoming studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, set to be released on October 3, inspired by her behind-the-scenes life during her world tour The Eras Tour.
