Supporting Law Enforcement at the Republican National Convention
This week, 19 McAllen Police Officers are in Milwaukee to support law enforcement activities at the Republican National Convention (RNC). The Milwaukee Police Department (MPD), seeking additional experience in securing mass gatherings, reached out to various agencies across the country for assistance. The McAllen Police Department responded to this call, joining forces with other agencies to ensure the event’s safety and security.
The collaboration between different law enforcement agencies highlights the importance of mutual aid and collective effort in managing large-scale events. Such cooperation not only enhances the security measures but also provides valuable experience for the officers involved, preparing them for future events requiring extensive coordination and planning.
The presence of the McAllen officers in Milwaukee exemplifies the spirit of inter-agency support and showcases the dedication of law enforcement personnel to maintain public safety during significant national events.
