Kick off the Thursday Night Live Summer Series at Quinta Mazatlán with The Lorax

Join Quinta Mazatlán for an unforgettable evening with the launch of its annual Thursday Night Live Summer Series with a special visit from The Lorax! On Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., families are invited to experience the magic of Dr. Seuss’ beloved story come to life in the heart of nature.

A champion for the environment and one of children’s literature’s most iconic characters, The Lorax will make a special appearance for photo opportunities, crafts, and a walk along the whimsical Lorax Trail. This interactive trail winds through the woods, featuring larger-than-life, eight-foot-tall story pages and over 20 imaginative art installations that bring the world of the Brown Bar-ba-loots, Swomee-Swans, and Humming-Fish to life.

More than four decades after it was first published, The Lorax continues to inspire young and old alike with its timeless message about conservation and care for the planet. As the Lorax wisely reminds us: “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”

Guests are encouraged to wear orange in honor of The Lorax and come early to enjoy a picnic before the festivities begin. Free shuttle service will be available courtesy of The Charter Bus Co., with pickups from the temporary parking area at 1400 Wichita Avenue, located between La Plaza Mall and Best Western. Shuttles will run from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The Thursday Night Live Summer Series runs June through August and is proudly sponsored by Clark Knapp Honda and Whataburger. The series encourages families to learn, explore, and connect with nature through fun and educational experiences.
