Volleyball Tournament Tickets on Sale Now

RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Monday that tickets are now on sale for the volleyball team’s UTRGV Tournament running Sept. 12-14 at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.

The UTRGV Tournament will feature six matches and five schools in the hosting Vaqueros, Texas Tech, San Francisco, Houston Christian and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Tickets can be purchased with an all-session pass or with single-day passes. The all-session pass is $25 and secures a seat at all six matches, including UTRGV’s home-opener against Texas Tech on Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m. Four matches will be played on Sept. 13, including Houston Christian vs. San Francisco at 10 a.m., Texas A&M-Corpus Christi vs. Texas Tech at 12:30 p.m., Texas Tech vs. Houston Christian at 4 p.m., and UTRGV vs. San Francisco at 6:30 p.m. The final match of the UTRGV Tournament will be Sept. 14 at 11 a.m. between San Francisco and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Prices vary for single-day passes. Day 1 passes can be purchased for $8 each and allow admittance to the UTRGV vs. Texas Tech match. Day 2 passes are $15 each and provide the opportunity to watch all four matches scheduled on Sept. 13. Day 3 passes are $8 each and will allow admittance to the tournament finale on Sept. 14.

The UTRGV vs. Texas Tech contest is the Orange Out/Pack the House match sponsored by McAllen International Airport. Fans are encouraged to wear orange and show their Vaqueros spirit and will receive free rally towels sponsored by Rally Credit Union.
