UTRGV recognized as Top College by Money magazine
RIO GRANDE VALLEY, TEXAS– UTRGV has been named one of the best colleges in the United States by Money magazine, again solidifying its position as a leading institution of higher education in Texas and across the country.
The ranking considers factors such as quality of education, affordability and student outcomes. In addition, UTRGV’s strong performance in areas such as graduation rates, affordability and return on investment contributed to the high ranking.
On its website, Money magazine praised UTRGV not just for its academic standing but also for its campus community opportunities: “Students here get some serious bang for their buck: the average annual cost is around $8,000, less than half the median cost for all four-year schools.”
UTRGV President Guy Bailey said he is proud of the university’s efforts and achievements, and the selection criteria – coupled with the university’s innovative programs, research opportunities and laser focus on student success – have contributed to its rising national profile.
“This recognition from Money magazine is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, faculty and staff,” he said. “At UTRGV, we have worked hard to offer a competitive, world-class education that is both accessible and affordable.
“From the beginning, we have dedicated ourselves to ensuring that our graduates are well-prepared for successful careers, so this Money ranking reaffirms our commitment to being a catalyst for opportunity in the Rio Grande Valley and beyond,” Bailey said.
This latest accolade adds to UTRGV’s growing list of national recognitions, further establishing it as a top choice for students seeking a valuable and transformative college experience. For more information about UTRGV and its programs, visit www.utrgv.edu.
