UTRGV Athletics to Continue Partnership with Gameday Logistics
RIO GRANDE VALLEY– The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Monday the continuation of a partnership with Gameday Logistics to assist with setting up accommodations for all sport teams when they’re on the road.
This partnership, which began in 2022-23, allows UTRGV Athletics to streamline travel planning, ensure the best accommodation for student-athletes, and free up coaching staffs to focus on competition preparation when on the road.
“We consistently place our focus on the student-athlete experience, and ensuring the best available hotels and locations is a big part of that,” UTRGV Vice President and Director of Athletics Chasse Conque said. “This partnership makes the logistics of planning travel for away contests smoother for our coaches and staff. We are excited to continue to partner with Gameday Logistics and look forward to another great year.”
Gameday Logistics focuses on properties that can specifically accommodate sports teams, focusing on factors such as proximity to the competition venue, access to meeting room spaces, and distance to local amenities. Gameday Logistics also manages any last-minute updates and changes while offering 24/7 support.
Gameday Logistics was founded in 2020 by former athletes with the goal of creating efficiencies in team travel and streamlining the process for coaches and administration. With more than 12 years of experience in the crew travel industry, Gameday Logistics has leveraged vendor relationships and knowledge to create a better way for traveling sports teams.
Gameday Logistics is a non-traditional travel provider focused on getting teams and coaches the lowest rates possible, allowing them to spend less time on travel logistics.
Most traditional travel management companies collect a commission on the total spend from the selected vendors, but Gameday Logistics does not.
