The MolinaCares Accord Installs Blood Pressure Testing Station in Rio Grande City

 The MolinaCares Accord, together with Molina Healthcare of Texas and the American Heart Association, will present a blood pressure testing station to Colonias Unidas. The station will be permanently installed and available for community members to access during regular operating hours.

Funding for the stations was part of a recent $100,000 grant from The MolinaCares Accord, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Texas. The grant supports the placement of 20 table-top blood pressure stations at highly trafficked locations in Greater Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Laredo, El Paso, Tyler, Hidalgo County, and Bexar County.

The Colonias Unidas installation event will also feature resources and information on cardiovascular health, how to use the machine, and how to live healthier lives so as to improve health outcomes.
