Summer Solstice Shines Bright at Quinta Mazatlán’s Thursday Night Live Evening Nature Festival

McAllen’s Quinta Mazatlán invites the community to welcome the arrival of summer at the Summer Solstice Nature Festival on Thursday, June 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This seasonal celebration offers a meaningful evening of nature, wellness, and cultural experiences for families and individuals of all ages.
Observed globally, the Summer Solstice marks the official first day of summer and the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. It is a time to honor abundance, renewal, and the light within and around us. Quinta Mazatlán’s festival embraces this spirit, offering an opportunity for guests to reflect, connect, and celebrate amidst the beauty of the native landscape.
Throughout the evening, guests can enjoy immersive activities including wellness experiences like Yoga from Quiet Mind Yoga while listening to Tibetan Singing Bowls with Irma Burr, aerial performances by Sam’s Personal Studio, music from South Texas Mother Earth Drum Circle, arts and crafts, and educational storytelling along nature trails. The event will also feature local artisan and food vendors, adding to the festive atmosphere. Visitors are encouraged to wear sun-themed attire and flower garlands in honor of the season and to fully experience the joyful energy of the solstice.
Summer Solstice is part of Thursday Night Live Summer Series that runs June through August and is proudly sponsored by Clark Knapp Honda and Whataburger. Enjoy free bus rides by The Charter Bus Co., from Quinta Mazatlán’s temporary parking lot located at 1400 Wichita Ave between La Plaza Mall and Best Western. The series encourages families to learn, explore, and connect with nature through fun and educational experiences.
Tickets are available on quintamazatlan.ticketleap.com, $5 per person, 2 and under free. For more information, call Quinta Mazatlán at 956-681-3370 and follow them on social media.
