STHS GME Consortium Program Launch

In 2022, the South Texas Health System GME Consortium was established with a clear mission: to offer graduate medical education (GME) residency and fellowship opportunities to aspiring physicians worldwide, focusing on specialized training in medically underserved communities.

We are thrilled to announce the accreditation of our consortium’s Family Medicine residency program, marking the beginning of a series of programs to be launched by the South Texas Health System. To celebrate this milestone, we cordially invite you to a special program launch event.

Join us as we inaugurate the Rio Grande Valley’s largest GME program and embark on our journey to educate the next generation of physicians while enhancing healthcare access in the communities we serve.

The event will be held on Friday, April 12th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Doubletree Suites by Hilton McAllen (1800 South 2nd Street). The program will commence at 10:30 a.m. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
