South Texas Ecotourism Center Hosts AFTER DARK Event on August 13th

Laguna Vista, TX – The South Texas Ecotourism Center (STEC) invites the community to experience the natural world in a whole new way at the upcoming AFTER DARK event on Wednesday, August 13th, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This exciting evening program offers hands-on activities and educational experiences for all ages—with free admission!

Attendees will enjoy:

  • Live Invertebrate Presentations

  • Moth Black Lighting Stations (Bring your own black lights, flashlights, and telescopes!)

  • Evening Hiking on the Trails

  • Interactive Exhibits, including a special display of Ancient Landscapes featuring real artifacts

  • Film Screenings of Deep in the Heart at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room

  • Free popcorn, ice cream, and drinks for all guests

Visitors are encouraged to bring their own dinner to enjoy during the movie screenings.
