Power Out Cooking Program

A new training program was launched to ensure that our essential Hidalgo County, Texas employees are prepared to serve the community effectively during hurricanes and other emergencies.

The Power Out Cooking program includes safety tips on preparing for emergencies and cooking demonstrations using alternative fuels. Employees learned to make several meals using pantry items and ready to cook foods.

This program was developed to support essential employees by preparing them to handle personal and family needs during disasters. Ensuring that essential employees have peace of mind regarding their family’s safety is paramount to their performance during emergency situations.
