Operation Back to School Event

As summer flies by, it’s time to start preparing for the upcoming school year, and the City of Mission is here to help! In partnership with Driscoll Health Plan, we are excited to announce Operation Back to School, happening on July 19th at the Mission Event Center (Time TBD). Join us for a day filled with essential services to ensure your child is ready to tackle the new school year with confidence.

Operation Back to School is your one-stop destination for everything your child needs to start the school year right. Here’s what we have planned:

–Backpack Distribution: Every child deserves a fresh start, which is why we’ll be giving away backpacks filled with school supplies to help students kick off the year prepared and organized.

–Haircuts for Kids: Get your child’s back-to-school haircut done onsite, ensuring they look and feel their best as they head back to the classroom.

–Vision Screening: We’ll have professionals onsite to provide vision screenings for children, helping to detect any potential vision issues early on.

–And Much More: Stay tuned for additional activities and services aimed at supporting families as they gear up for the new school year.

Operation Back to School is more than just a giveaway event. It’s about ensuring every child in our community has the resources they need to succeed academically and feel confident as they return to school. By providing backpacks, haircuts, vision screenings, and more, we aim to support families and set students up for success.
