Your Weight Matters Regional Comes to City with Nation’s Highest Obesity Rates

McAllen, TX – The Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) invites the McAllen community to Your Weight Matters Regional on April 26—a free educational event for anyone navigating the complex realities of managing weight and health.

McAllen currently holds the highest obesity rates in the nation, underscoring the urgent need for accessible, science-based information and support. This event meets that need with expert-led sessions, practical tools and a stigma-free space to learn and connect.

Attendees will hear from leading health experts on topics including the science behind weight, nutrition, mental health strategies and treatment options. The program offers actionable insights to help individuals take the next step in their weight and health journey.
