Dr. Torres Gómez recently opened K-Neurology Clinic, PA, located across the street from Knapp Medical Center, at 1402 E. 8th Street, Suite 1 in Weslaco.  She also recently joined the medical staff of Knapp Medical Center.

Dr. Torres provides comprehensive general neurology services for a broad range of conditions, including epilepsy, migraine headaches, dementia (including Alzheimer’s disease), Parkinson’s disease, and myasthenia gravis, among others.

She is also highly experienced in EEG (electro-encephalogram) interpretation — as well as Botox administration to prevent chronic migraines.

Dr. Torres is also the author of a 148-page paperback book, “Navigating the Challenges of Caring for a Loved One with Dementia: A Dementia Caregiver Guide to Taking Care of an Alzheimer’s Patient”.  Dr. Torres said the book is intended as a “practical and compassionate resource for families and caregivers facing the challenges of dementia.”

Dr. Torres has been in practice in the Valley for more than five years, previously serving with the Valley Baptist Physician Network.

Dr. Torres earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude (with great distinction).  She then completed her Neurology Residency and served as Chief Resident, also at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine.

In addition, Dr. Torres pursued advanced training through a Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at UT Health in San Antonio.
