Mission Police Department Press Conference

The Mission Police Department hosted a press conference in regard to false alarms and threats made to schools and provided consequences that these individuals could be facing. The objective of this press conference was to send a message to parents that they need to communicate with their young kids about the serious consequences for making such threats. Furthermore, this conference was to show our community and our students that we will not tolerate these situations in any city.

As well as letting them know that our local, federal and state law enforcement partners collaborate together as a team and stand united against such threats. The agencies in attendance were Mission, Edinburg, Border Patrol, Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, Palmview PD, La Joya, Alton PD, Palmhurst PD, and Mission CISD, among others.
