Mission CISD celebrates fourth successive year of financial reporting excellence

Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) announces that it has been honored with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the fourth consecutive year.

According to the Government Finance Officers Association, the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program was established to encourage and assist state and local governments to go beyond the minimum requirements of generally accepted accounting principles to prepare annual comprehensive financial reports that evidence the spirit of transparency and full disclosure.

Mission CISD’s consistent attainment of this award is a testament to its adherence to the highest standards of financial reporting. By providing comprehensive and transparent financial statements, the district empowers stakeholders to make informed decisions about its financial health.

Jaime Lopez, Assistant Superintendent for Budget and Finance at Mission CISD, shared that this recognition serves as a meaningful reflection of the dedication his team brings to ensuring financial accuracy and accountability, an effort that ultimately supports the success and trust of the entire Mission CISD community.
