Miniseries of Madonna’s life to premiere on Netflix

Los Angeles (USA), (EFE) – Madonna will bring her story to the small screen through a miniseries developed in collaboration with Netflix and “Deadpool 3” director Shawn Levy, according to the specialized media outlet Deadline.

According to the publication, the project is in an early development phase and is part of the exclusive agreement between Levy’s production company 21 Laps and the platform.

This limited biographical series is not linked to the previously announced Madonna film project, in which Julia Garner was expected to play the iconic “Like a Virgin” singer. That film, developed by Universal, was ultimately canceled.

It is not yet clear which decades the series will cover or whether Madonna will be involved in the script process, but according to the publication, there is a chance that Garner, famous for series such as “Ozark” and “Inventing Anna,” will be considered for the role again.

Garner made an appearance with Madonna in 2023 during a performance on her ‘Celebration Tour’ commemorating her forty-year musical career, and in March, the actress posted a photo on her Instagram account with the Queen of Pop at the Vanity Fair Oscars party.
