McAllen Welcomes Isaac Tawil as New City Manager
McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos and the McAllen City Commission are proud to announce the selection of Isaac Tawil as McAllen’s next City Manager. This decision follows a comprehensive and competitive search process, aimed at finding a leader who embodies the city’s values and vision for the future.
Isaac Tawil brings a wealth of experience in public administration, leadership, and community engagement to the role, making him an exceptional choice to guide McAllen through its next chapter of growth and development. In addition to his extensive background in public service, Tawil’s legal expertise will be invaluable as he navigates the complexities of city management.
He will officially assume the role on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., taking the reins from City Manager Roel “Roy” Rodriguez. Rodriguez, who has served the city with dedication and distinction for over 20 years, leaves behind a legacy of strong leadership and unwavering commitment to the community.
