McAllen, TX — McAllen proudly continues its tradition of hosting the Texas Youth Football Association’s (TYFA) annual Spring Bowl, a premier youth sports event that underscores over 15 years of strong partnership and community engagement. This longstanding collaboration between TYFA, Visit McAllen, the McAllen Parks & Recreation Department, and the city’s hospitality industry highlights McAllen’s dedication to youth sports and its vibrant, family-friendly environment.

Over the past decade, the TYFA Spring Bowl has expanded significantly, and this year McAllen is thrilled to welcome more than 4,000 athletes, families, and fans from across Texas.

The TYFA Spring Bowl has generated more than $12.3 million in economic impact for the city over its run, benefiting local hotels, restaurants, and businesses while reinforcing McAllen’s reputation as a premier sports tourism destination.
