WHY: McAllen Public Library will unveil plans for the 12th Annual South Texas Book Festival, set for Saturday, October 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Main Library. This year’s theme, Celebrate Our Roots & Stories, honors the
stories, traditions, and voices that shape our region. Known internationally, this free, community‑driven event is sponsored by H‑E‑B Helping Here and includes author panels, storytimes, activities, music, food, and more for all
ages. The Festival has earned top honors, including the Grand Pinnacle Award from the International Festivals & Events Association and the Best in Texas Award from the Texas Festivals & Events Association.
