McAllen ISD to Host Annual Back-to-School Bash on July 29

McAllen Independent School District (McAllen ISD) is excited to announce its annual Back to School Bash, taking place on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 9 AM to 6 PM at McAllen High School, located at 2021 La Vista Ave, McAllen, TX 78501.

This family-friendly event is open to all McAllen ISD students and community members, and it’s designed to ensure that every child starts the school year healthy, equipped, and excited to learn.

Event Highlights Include:

• FREE Backpacks for all McAllen ISD students (while supplies last)

• FREE School Supplies for grades PK-12

• FREE Breakfast and Lunch for all children ages 1-18

• FREE Physicals and Immunizations (with insurance, CHIP, or Medicaid)*

• FREE Haircuts

• FREE Manicures

• FREE Partner Giveaways

• On-Site Registration for new students

• Opportunity to Meet Your School Administrators

*Immunizations are $10 for children up to 18 years of age and $20 for individuals 19 years and older without qualifying insurance.

“This event is part of our commitment to support the whole child — academically, socially, and physically — as we prepare for another successful school year,” said McAllen ISD Superintendent. “We want to ensure that every student is ready and excited to head back to school with the tools and confidence they need to thrive.”

Join us for a full day of support, celebration, and school spirit as we kick off the 2025-2026 school year. Families are encouraged to arrive early, as supplies are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
