McAllen Cable Network Now Streaming on Over-The-Top Streams

McAllen Cable Network (MCN), the municipality’s Public. Education. Channel. (P.E.G.) channel is now streaming live on over-the-top (OTT) platforms on Roku and Apple smart TVs.  Now residents can keep up with their favorite municipal shows, events, and news coverage, as well as city commission meetings.

“For the City of McAllen, our commitment to being transparent to our community remains paramount. Embracing OTT streaming is a natural progression for us to enhance the way our residents connect with the local stories that matter to them,” said McAllen City Manager Isaac J. Tawil. “We’re excited to provide new ways for our residents and beyond to access and engage with the organization, by watching programming that highlights our city government, whether it is our elected officials, our projects or our employees.”

MCN is still available on channel 1300 on Spectrum Cable to McAllen cable subscribers, which streams directly on the City of McAllen website at www.mcallen.net and on the McAllen 3-1-1 mobile app. MCN programming is also available on the City of McAllen YouTube channel and on favorite podcast platforms.
