Making Moves to Keep Mission Clean
Mission is making big strides to keep the city clean and beautiful! Recently, the dedicated Code Enforcement and Streets Department teams joined forces to tackle illegal dumping in problem areas across the city, including alleys, streets, and drainage easements. Their latest effort? Relocating four surveillance cameras to known dumping hotspots—and the results have been incredible!
Since the cameras were moved, we’ve seen zero illegal dumping in these areas! This is a huge win for the city, and it highlights how effective community collaboration and smart strategies can be in maintaining a clean, safe environment for all residents.
Illegal dumping not only hurts the environment, but it also detracts from the beauty and pride of the community. By placing cameras in key areas, they’re sending a clear message: Mission is serious about keeping the city clean, and won’t tolerate illegal dumping.
But they can’t do it alone! It takes all of us working together to protect our streets and public spaces. If you see any suspicious activity or illegal dumping violations, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Code Enforcement Department at 956-580-8697. Your reports are invaluable in helping us continue to make progress.
Together, we’re making a difference, one step at a time. Let’s keep up the great work and ensure that Mission remains a clean, safe, and beautiful place for everyone.
