Magic of Stellar Storytelling
Are our destinies written in the stars? Join us for a magical evening where the wonders of the universe come to life through storytelling under the vast Texas sky. Dive into the night and discover the stars through captivating tales and hands-on activities that will ignite your imagination.
We’ll explore the legends behind constellations, bringing to life timeless stories like a starry-eyed story, a star-crossed tale, and the story of our stars. Create your own star maps, name your own constellations, and learn how to navigate the skies. It’s a chance to connect with the cosmos and see how we all shine brightly together.
The night will include opportunities to act out constellation stories, design star maps, and hear the legends passed down through the ages. Whether you’re a lover of storytelling, a stargazer, or simply curious about the night sky, this event offers something special for everyone.
Bring water, weather-appropriate clothing, blankets, pillows, chairs, and red flashlights or light pens to preserve your night vision. The event will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park. We’ll meet at the Headquarters, Tram Turnaround.
The entry fee is $5 for adults, while children 12 and under can attend for free. Park entry is also free with a Texas State Park Pass. Attendance is limited, so be sure to register early—sign-up starts on the 1st at the link provided.
