LUPE and LUPE Votes Civic Engagement continue early voting efforts for constitutional elections

With election day around the corner, LUPE Votes continues to push the pueblo’s vote to encourage voter turnout during early voting

San Juan, TX – La Unión del Pueblo Entero’s (LUPE) and LUPE Votes’ commitment to amplifying voices in every election remains strong as early voting continues for the 2025 Texas Constitutional Elections. The team has worked relentlessly to push voter registration initiatives, amendment educational outreach, canvassing and grassroots organizing.

“We have the opportunity to make powerful choices about the Texas constitution and its priorities for generations to come.”
Recently, LUPE and its sister organization, LUPE Votes, hosted a panel that explored voter suppression tactics and their impact on former and current incarcerated individuals. Panelists highlighted how criminal justice-impacted individuals who are eligible to vote, restore and exercise their right to vote.

“At the polls, we will decide how Texas invests in the working class, how it treats those navigating the criminal justice system, and what it thinks of immigrant communities,”
Mireles said. He encourages every Texan to verify their eligibility as “Every ballot counts. And no election is too small.”
LUPE Votes Civic Engagement Organizer Victoria Fajardo emphasizes the importance of making a plan to vote.
“Early voting helps avoid long lines and last minute obstacles, making it easier for everyone to participate,” Fajardo said. “The Texas Constitutional Amendment elections
have lasting impacts on how our state spends money, governs, builds infrastructure and protects individual rights. Do not let anyone tell you these elections do not matter
because they absolutely do!”
Early voting in Texas is going on through Oct. 31 from 7 a.m to 7 p.m. at all polling locations. The last day to vote for this election is Tuesday, Nov. 4.
