Launching into the Future: Mission CISD Opens applications for the Future Ready Schools Committee
MISSION, TEXAS— To prepare students for the next decade in an ever-changing world, Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) is launching a new Future Ready Schools Committee this November.
The community-driven committee will help inform major district decisions by reviewing key data and recommending options to the superintendent and Board of Trustees.
The committee will study topics such as enrollment trends, demographic and campus capacity data, attendance zones, and other long-range planning needs that impact student success.
“We want to engage the community through true representation and input,” said Dr. Cris Valdez, Mission CISD Superintendent of Schools. “We’re looking for members from across Mission—parents, students, teachers, principals, business owners, nonprofit leaders, city planners, district staff, and board representatives—to recommend thoughtful, future-focused options to me and to our Board.”
“Mission CISD belongs to all of us,” Dr. Valdez added. “That’s why we’re inviting diverse voices to the table. We need to be thinking about tomorrow, today.”
