Incredible Start to Journey Toward a Sustainable Water Future
Today marked a significant milestone in our collective efforts to ensure a sustainable water future for the Rio Grande Valley. The Deep South Texas State of Water Symposium, hosted by State Rep. and Chairman Terry Canales, Senator Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa, and the Texas Water Foundation, brought together top leaders and experts to discuss the pressing issues and future of water in our region.
The symposium was an inspiring gathering, with insightful contributions from our special guests, including Congressman Vicente Gonzalez, Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz, and Senator Morgan LaMantia. Their participation underscored the importance of collaborative efforts across all levels of government to address the water challenges we face.
As we continue our journey toward a more sustainable water future, the insights and commitments made today will serve as a strong foundation for the work ahead. Together, we are making strides to secure clean, reliable water for generations to come.
A big thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this vital conversation. Let’s keep the momentum going as we work together to build a more resilient and sustainable future for our community.
