IMAS Superhero 5K Run/Walk

It’s time once again for the International Museum of Art & Science Guild to send out the call for serious runners as well as fast walkers, slow rollers, fresh air fans, life artists and everyone else, to participate in their annual 5K Superhero’s Run at Fireman’s Park at 201 N. 1st in McAllen on Saturday, February 17. This Family-oriented Run will start at 8:00 a.m. with a send-off accompaniment of rousing music. Participants can sign up right here below.

Registration for the 5K Run is $30 and $15 for the One-Mile Fun Run.  Participants can pick up their packets and T shirts at the International Museum of Art & Science, located at 1900 Nolana, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, or from 7:00 – 7:45 a.m. on Saturday at Firemans Park on the day of the Run.

Funds raised at this Superheroes Fun Run will support educational programs at the International Museum of Art & Science.  According to Guild President Tina Ziegler, there will be medals, T-shirts, prizes and surprises, as well as a display of fine art by local artists and a fun, festive atmosphere.  Participants are invited to dress as their favorite hero, the more colorful and extravagant the better.
