Hidalgo County Precinct 3 and IMAS Partner to Bring “Beyond the Exhibits: Outreach at the Pavilion” to Mission
A free community event featuring a planetarium, STEM activities, cultural games, and interactive exhibits from IMAS.
MISSION, TX – Hidalgo County Commissioner Everardo “Ever” Villarreal, in collaboration with the International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS), is proud to announce Beyond the Exhibits: Outreach at the Pavilion, a free community expo celebrating science, art, and culture. The event will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Precinct 3’s Veterans Memorial Pavilion.
This family-friendly event is designed to bring the wonder of museums directly to the residents of Precinct 3 and the greater Mission community. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to experience a mobile planetarium show, engage in hands-on STEM activities, and enjoy traditional games like Mariposa Loteria.
“We are thrilled to partner with IMAS to bring this exciting event to Precinct 3,” said Hidalgo County Commissioner Villarreal. “Our goal is to make art, science, and cultural education accessible and engaging for every family in our precinct. ‘Beyond the Exhibits’ is more than an event; it’s an invitation to explore, learn, and be inspired right here in our own community.”
The expo will also feature participation from various local museums and cultural organizations, each hosting interactive booths and demonstrations. These partners will showcase their unique missions through show-and-tell presentations, live demos, and displays, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the region’s rich cultural tapestry.
