Hidalgo County Precinct 2 to Dedicate San Juan Park in Honor of Commissioner Hector “Tito” Palacios

SAN JUAN – Hidalgo County Precinct 2 Commissioner Eduardo “Eddie” Cantu is proud to announce a special dedication ceremony to rename San Juan Park in honor of Commissioner Hector “Tito” Palacios, recognizing his years of service and lasting contributions to the community.

The event will take place on Friday, November 14, at 10 a.m. at 509 Earling Road, San Juan, 78589. Members of the public, community leaders, and media representatives are invited to join in commemorating Commissioner Palacios’s legacy and his enduring impact on local residents.

“Commissioner Palacios’s commitment to public service and the people of Hidalgo County has inspired many. Working with community partners to improve the lives of residents in the colonias was always a top priority for Commissioner Palacios,” said Commissioner Cantu. “It’s only fitting that a space that brings families and neighbors together bears his name.”

The dedication ceremony will include remarks from local officials and community members, followed by the official unveiling of the park’s new name: Commissioner Hector “Tito” Palacios Park.

All are welcome to attend as Hidalgo County Precinct 2 celebrates this momentous occasion honoring a respected leader whose work continues to shape the community.
