Hidalgo County Judge’s Office Releases Volume 5 of the Veterans Resource Guide
EDINBURG – In honor of Veterans Day, the Office of Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez is proud to announce the release of Volume 5 of the Hidalgo County Veterans Resource Guide, an updated and expanded publication dedicated to supporting the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
“With deep gratitude, we recognize that service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off,” said Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez. “Many of our local veterans continue to strengthen our communities through leadership, mentorship, and public service. Volume 5 of the Resource Guide reflects both our appreciation for their sacrifice and our ongoing commitment to ensure every veteran has the information to access the support and opportunities they have earned.”
The Hidalgo County Veterans Resource Guide offers a comprehensive collection of local, state, and national resources, including information on education, healthcare, employment, mental wellness, housing, and financial assistance. It also provides direct links to organizations and programs designed to assist veterans and their families in navigating available benefits.
The guide was officially released during the Hidalgo County Commissioners Court meeting on Monday, November 10, 2025, as part of the county’s Veterans Day proclamation.
Veterans and their families are encouraged to connect with the Hidalgo County Veterans Service Office for personalized assistance in accessing services and benefits.
