Get Ready for Texas’ Total Solar Eclipse: Solar Saturday at IMAS!
Mark your calendars for an unforgettable celestial experience! On April 6th, join us at the International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) for Solar Saturday, where we’ll delve into the wonders of astronomy and prepare for Texas’ upcoming Total Solar Eclipse.

-Admission: Included with General Admission
Activities Include:
Science On A Sphere (SOS) Presentations:
Explore the mysteries of space with captivating SOS presentations and hands-on activities throughout the day.
Sun & Moon Gel Printmaking:
Unleash your creativity and craft your own sun and moon prints through gel plate printmaking. Tickets are available for $5 ($3 for IMAS members), with sessions every half hour. Limited capacity, so pre-registration is encouraged! Suitable for ages 8 and up.
Workshop Time Slots:
Choose from the following workshop time slots:
– 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
– 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
– 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
– 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Please note: Workshop tickets are non-transferable, and admission must be purchased separately online or in person.
Lectures:
-11:00 a.m.: “Natural Sunlight in Natural Expressions”
Join us for a gallery talk by Guest Curator Mary Nettie Rodriguez as we explore the role of the sun in landscape paintings.
-1:00 p.m.: “IMAS Hay Mas”
