Fiesta Edinburg Parade to Honor “Texas Legends” with Parade Theme

The Fiesta Edinburg Planning Committee is thrilled to unveil the theme for this year’s eagerly awaited parade: “Texas Legends.” On Saturday, March 02, 2024, we extend a warm invitation to residents and visitors alike to join us in the vibrant heart of the Edinburg Downtown District for an unparalleled celebration.

“Texas Legends,” our chosen theme for this year, honors the abundant history, culture, and heritage that characterize the Lone Star State, all in commemoration of Texas Independence Day. From revered historical figures to the stunning landscapes and cuisine that have molded Texas into the legendary place it is today, the parade is set to present a colorful spectacle of floats and participants paying homage to Texas’s legends.

Experience floats depicting scenes of historic figures, architectural marvels, natural wonders, and delectable culinary delights, ensuring an unforgettable celebration for attendees of all ages.

Parade Route

The parade route will start at Richard Flores Stadium moving north on Closner Blvd and will end at the Hidalgo County Courthouse.

• Starts at Richard Flores Stadium located on Mark Pena Dr.
• Exit Tourist Dr. on to S. Closner Blvd
• Northbound on S. Closner Blvd to W Cano St.
• Westbound on to W Cano St.
• Moving North on S. 10th Ave.
• Turning to E. McIntyre St.
• The parade will end at the North side of the Hidalgo County Courthouse
