Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization at UTRGV Joins RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Edinburg, Texas – The Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce announces that the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley has become the first student organization to join the chamber.

Skyler Howell, UTRGV student senator and president of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization, said the membership marks a milestone for students and professionals alike.

“It is an honor for the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization at UTRGV to be the first student organization to join the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,” Howell said. “This partnership is a significant milestone, as it marks the beginning of a powerful partnership between established professionals and tomorrow’s leaders. We believe this milestone will open doors for mentorship, collaboration and opportunities that prosper our region and local economy. Most importantly, we hope it inspires other student organizations to step forward, get involved and see themselves as part of the region’s growth story today instead of tomorrow.”

Cynthia Sakulenzki, president of the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, said the chamber welcomes the new members and their role in the local economy.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization to our chamber community,” Sakulenzki said. “Their involvement highlights the importance of cultivating the next generation of leaders and innovators in the Rio Grande Valley. Together, we can create meaningful mentorship opportunities and collaborative initiatives that strengthen our local economy and community.”

The RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce continues to expand its membership to include organizations committed to professional growth, economic development and community engagement. The addition of the student organization helps strengthen connections between students and the business community.
