Childbirth Education Classes in McAllen
The South Texas Health System McAllen is offering childbirth education classes for both pre-registered (free of charge) and non-registered ($50 fee) patients of The Birthing Center at McAllen Medical Center and The Women’s Corner at South Texas Health System. For registered and non-registered patients both, one ticket covers both you and your birth partner attending the class.
The classes will explore the stages of labor, delivery and postpartum care, as well as body changes during pregnancy. Some of the vital topics that are covered in these childbirth education classes include the basics of breastfeeding, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, stages of labor, relaxation and breathing techniques, vaginal and C-section birth videos and newborn care.
These childbirth education classes, and the offered delivery suites tour, are set to help inform and prepare expecting parents for their pregnancy journey.
All classes take place at The Birthing Center at South Texas Health System McAllen (301W. Expressway 83) on Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a lunch break included.
