Brownsville Honors Late Elizabeth Walker With Memorial At Main Library Branch
In a heartfelt tribute to the late Elizabeth Walker, the Brownsville Public Library’s Main Branch on Central Boulevard will soon feature a special memorial in her honor. The memorial, a rendition capturing a family-style portrait of Ms. Walker and her young son, Elijah, will be displayed on bookends at the library, serving as a lasting tribute to her memory.
Ms. Walker, who tragically lost her battle with cancer last year, served as the Assistant City Manager of Brownsville from 2019 to 2023. Her dedication, leadership, and commitment to serving the community left a lasting impact on those she worked with and the city as a whole.
