BPUB Project SHARE Scholarship Now Open

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) is now accepting applications for its annual Project SHARE Scholarship, starting today, Feb. 7, 2025. BPUB will award $2,000 each to 10 deserving students to support their pursuit of higher education.

As part of BPUB’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the community, the scholarship is designed to assist students as they embark on their academic journeys. This scholarship can help students cover tuition fees, moving expenses, or school supplies.

eligibility requirements include:

• Be a graduating high school student

• Live in a household with a minimum of one year of utility service with BPUB at the application deadline date

• Plan to attend an accredited higher education institution in the United States

The scholarship application process is entirely online. Interested students can apply at www.bpubscholarship.com. The application deadline is Monday, March 10 by 5 p.m.

All majors qualify for the scholarship. Winners will be announced in early summer 2025 through BPUB’s social media pages, website, and at an upcoming board meeting.
