A Proclamation Recognizing Edinburg’s Alfia Bilal

We are thrilled to announce that Edinburg’s own Alfia Bilal, the valedictorian of South Texas Independent School District (STISD), is headed to Princeton University this fall. In addition to her academic excellence, Alfia has been honored as the only Coca-Cola Scholar in the Rio Grande Valley (RGV).

From an initial pool of over 103,800 applicants, Alfia was selected as one of the 150 students to receive the prestigious Coca-Cola Scholarship, the most esteemed merit-based scholarship in the nation. This recognition is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and outstanding achievements.
