The event highlighted the collaborative efforts of students, educators, and families across the district. The recognition of educators selected by each student underscored the importance of mentorship and support in academic success.
Dr. Cris Valdez, Mission CISD Superintendent of Schools, also shared remarks during the banquet.
“This evening is a powerful reminder that excellence is not achieved alone, it is the result of a community that lifts one another,” said Valdez. “Each of you plays a part in this success. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for our students—students who continue to inspire us with their hard work, character, and potential.”
The Mission Academic Excellence Awards Banquet is held annually to acknowledge students for their academic standing and to recognize the educators who have supported them.
