Precinct 2 hosts FREE StrongFit Empowerment Showcase & Resource Bazaar

PHARR – The community is invited to attend the P2-StrongFit Empowerment Showcase & Resources Bazaar, a free community market and resource fair for all abilities and all ages. This inclusive event will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Hidalgo County P2 Indoor Sports Complex, located at 3600 E Eldora Rd, Pharr, TX 78577.

Hosted by Hidalgo County Precinct 2 Commissioner Eduardo “Eddie” Cantu, in partnership with the Valley Association for Independent Living (VAIL) and the Disability Chamber of Commerce RGV, this exciting fair is open to the public and aims to bring together families, individuals with disabilities, service providers, and creatives from across the Rio Grande Valley.

The event will feature a vibrant community market, resource booths, and a creative showcase. Local artists, makers, and performers are encouraged to participate in the event’s showcase, as the invitation is open to all local creatives. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with disabilities who are entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their products or services.

“This is more than just a fair—it’s a movement toward inclusion, empowerment, and connection,” said Commissioner Cantu. “We’re proud to help build a stronger, more inclusive community.”
