McAllen Chamber of Commerce Announces Board Leadership Transitions on Board of Directors

McAllen, TX – The McAllen Chamber of Commerce announces important leadership transitions within its Board of Directors, recognizing outgoing leaders while welcoming new voices to help guide the organization into its next chapter. These changes will be effective beginning October 1, 2025.

The Chamber extends its heartfelt appreciation to Hershal Patel, who has concluded his tenure as Chairman of the Board. Under his leadership, the Chamber strengthened its mission of fostering economic growth, supporting local businesses, and advancing opportunities for the McAllen community. His vision and steady guidance have been instrumental in setting the foundation for future growth.

The Chamber also thanks Jim Darling, Elva Cerda, and Adrian Villarreal for their dedicated service and commitment as they conclude their terms on the Board of Directors. Their leadership and contributions have played a vital role in the Chamber’s continued success and impact across the Rio Grande Valley, particularly through programs that uplift entrepreneurs, support innovation, and promote McAllen as a premier place to live and do business.

Looking ahead, the Chamber is pleased to welcome Anita Moon and Rudy Martinez to the Board of Directors. With diverse backgrounds and a strong passion for community advancement, they bring valuable insights and experience that will help the Chamber address emerging opportunities and challenges in the region.

The organization is also proud to announce Francy Jones as the new Chairwoman of the Board and Daniel Clark as Chair-Elect. Together, they will lead the Chamber in its ongoing efforts to champion entrepreneurship, drive economic development, and serve as a strong voice for local businesses.

create even more opportunities for growth and success. We will continue building programs and events that create real opportunities for entrepreneurs and businesses.”

“It’s a privilege to step into this leadership role at such an exciting time for McAllen,” said Daniel Clark, head of Clark Chevrolet in McAllen. “As a third-generation Clark serving on the Chamber’s board, I am proud to continue our family’s legacy of supporting the Chamber and our community. I look forward to working with fellow board members to drive innovation, foster connections, and support the entrepreneurs and businesses that keep our city thriving.”

New Leadership Spotlights:

· Francy Jones, Chairwoman of the Board – Francy is the Director of Marketing & Public Relations at Castle Hospitality, where she oversees outreach and promotional efforts across several Texas hotel locations. She brings extensive experience in sales, marketing, and community engagement.

· Daniel Clark, Chair-Elect – Daniel serves as the head of Clark Chevrolet in McAllen, a longstanding local dealership. His strong business acumen and commitment to the community will be invaluable as he steps into the Chamber’s leadership.

· Anita Moon, Board Member – Anita brings a strong background in nonprofit leadership and community engagement. Her alignment with the Chamber’s mission and passion for empowering community programs make her a valuable addition.

· Rudy Martinez, Board Member – Martinez is known as a respected entrepreneur and business strategist within the McAllen entrepreneurial community. Though detailed public profiles were not located, his reputation for understanding local business challenges positions him well to support the region’s expanding business ecosystem.
