City of Mission North Water Treatment Plant to Undergo Temporary Shutdown for Breaker Replacement

City of Mission North Water Treatment Plant to Undergo Temporary Shutdown for Breaker Replacement
MISSION, TEXAS – The City of Mission’s North Water Treatment Plant will undergo a temporary shutdown on August 23–24, 2025, to allow for the replacement of a critical main electrical breaker.
During this time, the North Water Plant will be completely offline, and we strongly encourage residents to minimize water consumption. This includes no irrigation of lawns, no filling swimming pools, and limiting other non-essential water use to ensure continued water availability for the community.
To help maintain pressure across our city, the City of McAllen will assist Mission throughout the shutdown period. Additionally, our South Water Plant will remain fully operational, helping us reduce disruption to residents and businesses.
We expect all operations to resume by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
