Hidalgo County to hold Virtual Auction of general surplus merchandise from the Old Hidalgo County Courthouse

Own a piece of Hidalgo County history. Hidalgo County will hold a Virtual Auction of general surplus merchandise by Bond & Bond Auctioneers on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 10 a.m. The items are part of the Old Hidalgo County Courthouse, which includes tables, chairs, bookshelves and other office items.

Items can be viewed in person on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the old Hidalgo County Courthouse located at 100 N. Closner Blvd. in Edinburg, Texas. To view items in person, you must have a signed applicable general liability waiver along with a photo I.D. in order to be admitted into the property. You will be turned away if you do not meet these requirements.

Once items are purchased, bidders must make an appointment with Bond & Bond Auctioneers to pick up items from the Old Courthouse from Monday, July 14, 2025 to Thursday July 17, 2025 between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. You must have a paid invoice and a signed applicable general liability waiver along with a photo I.D. to be admitted into property for the removal of items.  You will be turned away if you do not meet these requirements. Anything that stays behind will be forfeited.

No loading assistance of any kind will be provided. Bidders must load items themselves and bring their own dollies, tools, straps, etc.
