Free Summer Meals for kids

Learning does not end when school lets out and neither does the need for good nutrition.

McAllen ISD, in partnership with the Texas Dept. of Agriculture, announces the sponsorship of free, nutritious meals at participating feeding sites (58 total) for this summer. It will serve meals for children ages 1-18.

They do not need to be McAllen ISD students to participate.

In addition, there will be Meals on Wheels routes. These are school buses from McAllen ISD which park in selected neighborhoods to feed children in those areas.

The participation dates vary but some start as early as June 6 and run as late as August 1. The schedule is attached and linked here.
