Shakira’s Sons make their musical debut

New York,  (EFE) – The sons of singer Shakira and soccer player Gerard Piqué made their musical debut with the song “The One,” written by Milan, also the song’s vocalist, and featuring Sasha on drums.

Following the release, Shakira posted a snippet of the music video on Instagram with the phrase “What a beautiful gift for this day!”, referring to the fact that today is Mother’s Day in some countries, such as the United States.

The song, a collaboration with singer Mila V., is produced by the Let it Beat Academy Foundation, run by Argentine musicians Guillermo Vadalá and Nerina Nicotra, and is part of its Next Generation of Artists program, whose goal is to boost the musical careers of young people between the ages of 10 and 20.

The song can be found on platforms such as YouTube, where it has already garnered more than 150,000 views, and is featured on the album “ALL FOR YOU,” released by Let it Beat Academy.

Milan, 12, and Sasha, 10, presented the song last week at a gala in Miami organized by the foundation. Shakira was also in attendance and could be seen excitedly applauding her children as they performed the single.

The Colombian singer is currently embarking on her “Las mujeres ya no lloran” (Women No Longer Cry) tour of the United States, which will begin this Tuesday in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a concert featuring guest artist Alejandro Sanz.

The tour will travel along the East Coast from May 13 to June 7, continue through Texas from June 11 to 15, and conclude on the West Coast on June 30 in San Francisco.

The second leg of their Latin American tour will then begin in Tijuana on August 11 and will also visit the Mexican cities of Hermosillo, Chihuahua, Torreón, Monterrey, Mexico City, Querétaro, Guadalajara, and Puebla, closing on September 12.
