McAllen Chamber Launches Spring Shopping Tour, featuring McAllen’s Local Shopping Scene

McAllen, TX – The McAllen Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the City of McAllen and Visit McAllen, launched the McAllen Shop Hop—a celebration of the city’s vibrant and diverse shopping scene. The tour officially kicked off on April 23rd and will run through Father’s Day in June, bringing together local store owners, and connecting residents and visitors with everything from trendy outfits and thoughtful gifts to gorgeous florals and seasonal essentials.

From the end of April through early June, McAllen residents and visitors will discover the best of spring shopping with the McAllen Shop Hop. Whether you’re preparing for Prom, Graduation, or simply refreshing your seasonal style, the McAllen Shop Hop Spring Shopping Tour is your one-stop experience for all things spring.

Shoppers will explore new stores, receive offers, discounts and free items. By following Visit McAllen’s social media accounts on Instagram and Facebook, shoppers can discover featured stores and even participate in a scavenger hunt with the chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree.

The McAllen Chamber of Commerce invited its member business fronts to take part in this special event, with participants including:

“McAllen’s businesses and local shops are the heart of our community,” said McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos. “The Shop Hop is a fun and exciting way for residents and visitors to discover new stores and enjoy everything our city has to offer. The McAllen Shop Hop is the latest in a series of seasonal campaigns by the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, designed to support local businesses and showcase the city’s unique retail scene. Following the success of the McAllen Foodie Tour that took place in March, this spring initiative invites shoppers to explore Chamber-affiliated boutiques and shops in a fun, engaging way. Through initiatives like these, the McAllen Chamber continues its mission to champion local commerce, drive economic growth and position McAllen as a premier shopping destination in South Texas.
