Road Closure for La Vista Ave Intersection Improvements

As the City of McAllen moves forward with the Annual Repaving project, storm manhole adjustments will cause a road closure at the intersection of La Vista Ave and 6^th St.

The roadway will be closed to all through traffic on La Vista Ave between 8^th Street to 5^th Street, and on 6^th Street between Westway Ave to Walnut Ave. Construction will begin on Monday, April 28, 2025 and is expected to be completed by Tuesday, April 29, 2525. Residents and businesses will have access to their driveways at all times.

Motorists are urged to find alternate routes during the road closure and exercise extreme caution and patience when traveling along in the area.  Motorists should expect some delays and congestion.
