Free Alarms from the Edinburg Fire Department
We are delighted to announce that the Edinburg Fire Department has received a FEMA grant to provide free smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to eligible residents! This initiative aims to enhance the safety and well-being of our community by ensuring that every household is equipped with these essential life-saving devices.
Thanks to this generous grant, the Edinburg Fire Department has 1,500 smoke alarms and 500 carbon monoxide alarms available for installation. These alarms are crucial for early detection of fires and dangerous carbon monoxide levels, giving residents the precious time needed to evacuate safely and call for help.
To qualify for these free alarms, residents must meet certain eligibility criteria, which will be detailed by the Edinburg Fire Department. The department is committed to ensuring that those most in need receive these alarms, prioritizing the safety of all Edinburg citizens.
This initiative underscores our community’s commitment to safety and well-being. By working together, we can create a safer environment for everyone in Edinburg. The Edinburg Fire Department will be providing information on how residents can apply for and schedule the installation of these alarms in the coming days.
Your safety is our priority. We encourage all eligible residents to take advantage of this opportunity and ensure their homes are equipped with these vital safety devices. Stay tuned for more details from the Edinburg Fire Department and help us spread the word about this fantastic program.
Let’s work together to protect our community and ensure that every household in Edinburg is safe and secure.
