Taylor Swift subpoenaed as witness in legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni

New York (EFE) – Pop star Taylor Swift has been subpoenaed as a witness in the legal battle between actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni over disputes arising from their film “It Ends With Us,” which will be settled in a 2026 trial, TMZ reported Friday.
The entertainment news site, citing sources familiar with the matter, indicates that Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, has subpoenaed Swift as a witness.
Swift, whose only involvement in the film is writing a song on the soundtrack, “My Tears Ricochet,” but who is a close friend of Lively, has also been named.
Swift’s representatives told the media that the singer’s only connection to the film was that musical license and argued that the subpoena seeks to “attract public interest by creating clickbait for the tabloids rather than focusing on the facts of the case.”
The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni, who co-starred in “It Ends With Us,” dates back to late 2024, when the actress accused the actor and director of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior during filming, and the conflict has only grown. Lively subsequently accused Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer, of plotting to damage her reputation following the sexual harassment allegation. They, in turn, sued the actress and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, along with her publicist, for trying to “destroy” her career.
Amid the accusations, Lively published an article in The New York Times about her complaint to the California Department of Civil Rights, which Baldoni lashed out at.
The conflicting lawsuits, which include a $400 million claim from Baldoni to Lively, will go to court on March 9, 2026.
